The source of the river Eden is high up in the fells of Mallerstang, from which it runs North for 90 miles before reaching the sea past Carlisle.

The Upper Eden Valley is made up of remote farming communities. More about the Eden valley and surroundigns can be found on the very useful Visit Cumbria website
